The story of Licking County Foundation’s 65 years is not just about what goes on at 30 N Second St. It’s about the donors in the community whose generations of compassionate action have taken the form of philanthropy. The individuals, families, businesses, nonprofits and public partners who have established funds have done so with a common goal: to make a difference and lift up the lives of others in Licking County.
In 2021, LCF welcomed a record 25 new funds. Of those, almost one third are donor advised funds that will continue growing our capacity to do even more to improve lives in Licking County. Donor advised funds (DAF) can be funded all at once, or over a period of five years.
John and Mary Hinderer have been engaged in Licking County for decades. John decided to establish a fund in 2021 to give back to the community as a way to celebrate 30 years in business. The focus of their fund is to support youth and educational opportunities.
Other new donor advised funds include two established by retired Denison University professors, five separate funds established by a group of siblings, a Rotarian who decided to bring their family’s annual giving under their DAF, and a local family of franchisees with deep roots who decided to invest further in their community.
These and all of our donors come from different walks of life. They are our neighbors, family, classmates, business owners, co-workers, community organizations, teachers, customers, and fellow volunteers. They are all of us, and they are what make Licking County Foundation your community foundation.
Licking County Foundation is grateful to our donors and to all of you for the support that enables us to change lives together in our community.
